James “Jimmy” Cramer, age 80, of Murfreesboro, passed away on July 6, 2026 at Tennessee State Veterans Home. He was born and raised in Murfreesboro.  Jimmy and his wife Lil lived in Leesburg, GA from 1990 until 2 years ago when he moved back to Murfreesboro. Jimmy served in the United States Airforce during the Vietnam War and worked as a tire salesman for Firestone.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Herman G. and Marcia Cramer; wife, Lillian Cramer; and sister, Carolee Weller. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Jones; brother, Mark (Joyce) Cramer; two grandchildren, Baylee (Tyler) Davis and Zachary Cramer; and great-grandchildren, Fen Cramer, Raelynn Whitman and Isabella Davis.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM until time of chapel service at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home with military honors. Burial will follow at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
