Strike! Rocky’s DIY Bowling Alley with Recycled Bottles

Oct 13, 2025 at 12:02 pm by WGNS News

FUN & SIMPLE IDEA: Ready for some bottled-up fun? Rocky the Raccoon with RecycleRightTN.com suggests taking a few used plastic water bottles out of the recycle bin to make an outdoor bowling alley for the kids...

Here’s how: Fill ten bottles with sand or water, then line them up in a triangle at one end of your driveway. Use sidewalk chalk to mark the lane and a starting line. Rocky suggests, “I prefer to use a basketball—it rolls smoothly and isn’t too heavy or too light.” Once your driveway bowling alley is set up, it’s time to bowl. “Roll the ball!” Rocky exclaims. It’s low-cost family fun that reuses materials and keeps little recyclers smiling.
