Murfreesboro City Schools Hosts “Kickoff to Kindergarten” Registration Assistance Day on May 15

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) — Murfreesboro City Schools (MCS) is inviting families to its “Kickoff to Kindergarten” registration assistance day for the 2025–2026 school year on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Families can receive in-person help with registering their kindergarteners at two convenient times:

• 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at all MCS schools (excluding Discovery School)

• 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the MCS Central Office, located at 2552 S. Church Street

To complete registration, families should bring the following:
✅ Child’s official birth certificate
✅ Immunization records
✅ Proof of a recent physical or appointment card
✅ Parent/guardian photo ID
✅ Proof of residency (such as a utility bill, lease, or mortgage statement)
✅ Custody documentation, if applicable

Translators will be available at the Central Office to assist families who need language support.

This event is designed to help ensure a smooth start for incoming kindergarten students when they begin school in August 2025.
