Segment One – MTSU Becomes Tennessee’s First Age-Friendly University

Segment Two – Cedar Glade Wildflower Festival Returns This May
Dr. Kim Cleary Sadler shares highlights of the upcoming Elsie Quarterman Cedar Glade Wildflower Festival, taking place May 2–4, 2025, at Cedars of Lebanon and Long Hunter State Parks. Listeners will learn about nature hikes, rare wildflower tours, bird-watching, and family-friendly activities that celebrate Tennessee’s unique biodiversity.

• Friday, May 2, two great expert presentations will begin at 7 p.m. at the Cedar Forest Lodge in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Tennessee Rare Plants legislation. Click here to see events on the Cedars of Lebanon website. 
  
  
• Saturday, May 3, will start with bird-watching from 7 to 8:30 a.m. followed by a full day activities ranging from visits to cedar glade wildflower sites, hikes with botany professionals, gardening workshops, an edible plants program and more family friendly activities.
