From Dishwasher to CEO: Peter Demos’ on Family, Purpose, Belief and More

MURFREESBORO, TN -In today’s episode of the Action Line on WGNS, host Bart Walker talks with Peter Demos — a local business owner, entrepreneur, and public speaker. Peter began his journey in the family restaurant business at just 12 years old, working as a dishwasher in his father’s Western Sizzlin’ restaurant. Over time, he gained hands-on experience in the food industry under his father’s guidance, learning the essential principles of running a successful business.

After high school, Peter earned a B.S. in Sociology from Middle Tennessee State University, then went on to study law at the University of Missouri, where he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree. Though trained in law, Peter discovered that his true passion lay in the food industry — helping people through hospitality and service.
