Murfreesboro, TN - Middle Tennessee State University’s Jones College of Business will host the 2025 MTSU Midsouth Supply Chain Summit this coming Tuesday, March 4, 2025. It will bring together the university’s supply chain management students with industry leaders, partners and others for a full day of educational and networking opportunities.

Registration CLOSES TODAY, Monday - March 3, 2025. MTSU Students can register here, non-MTSU students can register here, while employers and others can register here.

This power session is presented by the MTSU Center for Supply Chain Management and Sustainability team.  The summit will run from 9:00 o'clock this Tuesday morning (3/4/2025) until 4:00PM in the afternoon at the university's Student Union Ballroom.

Special afternoon highlighted is a a keynote session titled “Tennessee’s Solid Waste Crisis = Vast Economic Opportunity,” featuring state Sen. Heidi Campbell of Nashville.

Campbell and members of her team will present the proposed Tennessee Waste To Jobs Act, which transfers the cost of recycling from taxpayers and municipalities to the companies producing packaging. The act is expected to bring thousands of new jobs and economic development to Tennessee by investing in the state’s recycling infrastructure to collect, process, and recycle more recyclables — helping businesses get more of the valuable recycled content they need.

“The highly anticipated Midsouth Supply Chain Summit will bring together industry leaders, supply chain professionals, academics, and students for insightful discussions, cutting-edge presentations, and valuable networking opportunities,” said Richard Tarpey, assistant professor in the university’s growing Supply Chain Management Program within the Department of Management and is also director of the MTSU Center for Supply Chain Management and Sustainability.
