That was MPD Capt. Clayton Williams. Then, in a déjà-vu moment that October, a new band of “enthusiastic” shoppers returned to Victoria’s Secret, making off with a cool $4,400 worth of items. Apparently unsatisfied, the same crew reappeared two days later, leaving with another $4,500 in unmentionables.
As the years progressed, so did the shoplifting with major thefts being investigated at stores like BestBuy, Ulta, Marshalls and more…Murfreesboro Police have worked to tackle the epidemic, teaming up with retailers to rearrange store layouts and tighten security measures... Their efforts paid off at some stores, which has made several store owners pleased as punch.
