Habitat for Humanity will be hosting their annual Cookin’ to Build event this Saturday (November 2nd) at the Murfreesboro Square, inviting the community to come together for delicious food and a great cause.

Habitat for Humanity builds affordable homes for families in need, and Community Outreach Coordinator Megan Hutchings emphasizes that this event is all about supporting those families:

With 30 teams competing, attendees can sample a variety of chilis, soups, and other dishes, then vote for their favorite team. In addition, colorful painted bowls will be available for purchase to support Habitat’s mission. Hutchiings says premade bowls will also be available at the event:

Gates open at 10:30 a.m. for those with premade bowls, and general admission begins at 11:00 a.m. Tickets are $30 and include food, drinks, desserts, and live entertainment. Join the Murfreesboro community for a day of food, fun, and support for affordable housing!
