Smyrna, TN – This summer, Gabriel Peebles-Ross (Pictured above right) from Smyrna, TN will join outstanding students from across the nation to take part in a unique academic and career-oriented development experience, with the National Youth Leadership Forum: Business Innovation taking place this summer on the campus of Yale University in New Haven Connecticut.

National Youth Leadership Forum: Business Innovation is one of the Envision by WorldStrides family of programs (www.envisionexperience.com) that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom.

Gabriel was nominated by his business teacher at Smyrna High School this 2023-2024 school year. Gabe participates with student government, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and the Purple Dynasty Club. Gabriel is also passionate about sports and plays on the junior varsity and varsity baseball teams. He also plays travel baseball. Gabriel is a student of Leadership Academy through the M.L. King, Jr. Scholarship Fund of Rutherford County, volunteered with the summer reading program of the Smyrna Linebaugh Library and volunteers as a camp counselor with the Smyrna Police and Fire Summer Camp for a number of years. He has aspirations of being a chef operating his own restaurant or a political strategist. He has a number of gifts and talents that he wants to use to their fullest extent and this opportunity will help guide him. Gabriel is looking forward to gaining the hands-on business knowledge and experience that this Forum will provide and that will help him achieve his life goals.

“I am excited for Gabriel to meet, work, and collaborate with fellow high-aspiring students from other cities and schools,” said Dr. Jan Sikorsky, Vice President, Education for Envision. NYLF: Business Innovation is a wonderful opportunity for ambitious young students to explore their interests outside the classroom and discover how to innovate and think creatively through hands-on immersive learning. Our students are challenged with real#world simulations and problems, working together to develop unique solutions and projects to bring life to their studies and career interests.”
