Fraud Alert: Murfreesboro Police Probe Bank Fraud at 2-Local Bank Locations

MURFREESBORO, TN - The Murfreesboro Police Department's Fraud detectives are currently investigating a series of fraudulent bank transactions that occurred at two Redstone Financial Credit Union (RFCU) locations in Murfreesboro on April 15th. MPD officials even sent issued a “Be On the Lookout”for the suspect.

According to reports, an unidentified individual utilized two different fraudulent driver’s licenses, each bearing his photograph but containing the personal information and names of two separate victims, to carry out unauthorized withdrawals. The perpetrator successfully withdrew $4,200 from an account at the RFCU branch on S. Rutherford Blvd., and an additional $3,500 from another victim’s account at the RFCU branch on Medical Center Parkway.

Murfreesboro Detective Jessica Rice has been assigned to lead the investigation and is urging anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect to come forward. Detective Rice can be reached at 629-201-5550.

The Murfreesboro Police Department is actively pursuing leads and working to apprehend the individual responsible for these fraudulent activities.
