Murfreesboro, TN - Murfreesboro Police are reaching out to the community for help in identifying two individuals wanted for questioning regarding an incident involving the exploitation of a visually impaired woman. The suspects, currently unknown, allegedly approached the victim's residence, knocking on her door and falsely claiming to be law enforcement officers armed with a search warrant.
Trusting the supposed authority figures, the victim allowed the individuals into her home. However, the situation took a disturbing turn, as on the same day, the victim's debit card was used for multiple fraudulent withdrawals at an ATM situated inside a Mapco convenience store on Memorial Blvd. In addition to the unauthorized ATM transactions, the suspect(s) engaged in several fraudulent transactions using the Cash App.
Murfreesboro Police are determined to bring clarity to this distressing incident and seek the public's assistance in identifying the person of interest captured in surveillance footage. The department has released an image of the individual and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
