Today on the Action Line, host Scott Walker talks to the director of the Rutherford County Library System, Rita Shacklett. On the show, we learned more about new things coming to the library, a fundraiser and more. We also learned that Mrs. Shacklett will retire, after serving in the library for the past 48-years. Shacklett retires at the end of February.
During the second half of the program, we heard from variety of departments and branches within the local library system.
To close the show, WGNS spoke to Sandra Chennault, the chair of the Friends of Linebaugh Library Cultural and Arts Committee. Chennault talked about the upcoming annual Friends of Linebaugh Lunch and the bookstore inside the Linebaugh Library at the corner of South Church and Vine Streets.
