Investigation Continuing into Child Sex Abuse Case Involving Nashville Man

ANTIOCH, TN - In nearby Antioch, the Metro Nashville Police Department is actively investigating a disturbing case of child sex abuse allegedly involving 41-year-old James Searcy II, a private investigator currently jailed on three counts of raping a 12-year-old girl. Searcy is being held on a $260,000 bond for the reported crimes that occurred at his residence on Ashland City Highway.

The arrest followed the execution of a search warrant at Searcy's home on Monday. The investigation, led by Youth Services Detective Matt Mrowiec, revealed that Searcy, who works as a private investigator, is accused of sexually assaulting the victim on multiple occasions between November 2022 and the present month.

The investigation is continuing into the child sex abuse case involving James Searcy II, 41, who is jailed in lieu of $260,000 bond on three counts of raping a 12-year-old girl at his residence on Ashland City Highway. Searcy, who works as a private investigator, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the victim on multiple occasions between November 2022 and this month. He was taken into custody Monday after the execution of a search warrant at his home.

Searcy is also charged with felony child endangerment. The victim reported that he gave her cocaine, marijuana and alcohol in association with sex acts.

This investigation, being led by Youth Services Detective Matt Mrowiec, began just over a week ago after information about this matter was relayed to the police department.
