RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - An investigation into a child being sexually assaulted 5-years ago led to a Nashville resident being convicted in a Rutherford County courtroom.

After allegations involving the rape of a child who was under the age of 13 were made in LaVergne, Detective Steve Crotts with the LaVergne Police Department worked with multiple officers and various agencies to present evidence from the case to a Rutherford County Grand Jury.
