A heavy thunderstorm parked over the downtown Murfreesboro area Wednesday, dumping lots of rain in a short period of time. Many streets were overtaken by water as drains weren't able to get rid of the rain fast enough. Other places in the county only saw moderate rain with the storms and northern areas didn't see any. More rain is in the forecast tonight and tomorrow (Thursday).
