Antioch, TN – Metro Nashville Police say a known street racer surrendered himself this past Friday on three outstanding warrants, but gained additional charges when he arrived to South Precinct with guns and drugs inside his vehicle.

24-Year-old Marcus Magee of Antioch was wanted on reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, evading arrest and false report charges related to street racing last month where a lengthy helicopter pursuit ensued. Detectives spoke with him over the phone and convinced him to turn himself in.

During Magee’s interview, South Precinct detectives also spoke with the woman that drove him there and could smell a strong odor of marijuana from the vehicle. Upon a search, 1.2 pounds of marijuana and two loaded firearms were recovered.

Magee was booked on his outstanding warrants and was also charged with four counts of felony weapon possession, felony drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released from jail after posting a $39,500 bond.
