(MURFREESBORO) Once again, it's time to prove what BIG BLUE is made of! The Middle Tennessee State University Blue Raiders face off against Western Kentucky's Hilltoppers for the thirteenth annual BLEED BLUE, BEAT WKU blood drive. The Heart of Tennessee Red Cross Chapter will be at the MTSU Recreation Center (1848 Blue Raider Dr.) on September 25, 26, and 27, 2023 from 11:00 o'clock each morning until 6:00 in the evening.
The Red Cross is critically low on blood, and the MTSU-WKU blood drive is crucial. As you know, it has historically been one of the most productive Blood drives each year.
This year's gridiron battle will be on the hill in Bowling Green as the Blue Raiders vist Western Kentucky. Kickoff is at 6:30PM on Thursday night, Sept. 28, 2023. If you can't make it to the game, you can hear it on all WGNS channels (FM 101.9, FM 100.5, AM 1450 and www.WGNSradio.com).
Murfreesboro Red Cross Executive Director John Mitchell noted that the goal for this year's BLEED BLUE blood drive is 400 units.
In addition, those who come to give the gift of life can enjoy pizza, tee shirt, $20 Amazon gift card, sports clips coupon, and even game day tickets.
BLEED BLUE blood donors are extra special, that why there are 18 spaces reserved in front of the MTSU Recreation Center for all three days. Make an appointment on-line and you'll be in and out before you know it. Sign-up at https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?order=DATE&range=10&zipSponsor=MTSU
