Two Murfreesboro teenagers will face the courts in Williamson County after their recent arrest’s in Franklin, Tennessee. The duo were accused of breaking into several vehicles that were parked in a Franklin neighborhood. Their arrest’s came after their activities were reportedly captured on a Ring camera system.

Franklin Police, working with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, were called to Springhouse Circle after a resident noticed his home security camera had been activated. The homeowner told police his Ring camera had captured someone breaking into vehicles. The incident was reported this past week and arriving officers located a suspect vehicle that they believed was the car the possible suspects arrived in. However, when officers approached the car, they found that it was empty.

After several minutes passed, police noticed an Uber arrive in the otherwise quiet and peaceful subdivision. The Uber driver told officers he was summoned to a nearby address, but officers inquired with the resident at that address who told them they had not ordered an Uber. Then, another Uber pulled up and police watched as two men hopped into the vehicle.

Authorities moved in to surround the Uber and one of two passengers jumped out of the car and reportedly ran while the other suspect remained seated. Police identified the sitting suspect as 19-year-old Joseph Martin of Murfreesboro. 2-Hours passed before the second suspect who fled on foot was caught. By the early morning hours, officers nabbed the second culprit in a wooded area and identified him as Octavio Estevez, who is also 19 and lives in Murfreesboro.

Martin was charged with 3-counts of burglary, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Esteves, who happened to be free on bond at the time of his arrest for a previous charge of aggravated robbery, was charged with 3-counts of burglary and evading arrest. Both Esteves and Martin are currently free on bond. The two Murfreesboro teens are scheduled to appear in a Williamson County General Sessions Courtroom next month.
