MURFREESBORO, TN – In Murfreesboro, Police are attempting to locate a “Person of Interest” after a hold-up at the Florence Station Market and BP gas station on NW Broad Street at Florence Road. The armed robbery occurred this past Sunday (July 2, 2023).
Police told WGNS News that an unidentified man entered the BP and walked around the store for several minutes before pulling out a revolver and pointing it directly at the clerk. Authorities say one customer was in the store browsing the aisles as the robbery was taking place. However, the customer never realized the gas station was being robbed.
After robbing the gas station, the subject quickly exited and walked towards Florence Road. The unknown man got-away with hundreds of dollars, according to the MPD. It's not known if the man had a waiting vehicle outside the store or if he was parked nearby.
