MURFREESBORO, TN – The Murfreesboro Police Department is on the lookout for a suspect who may be tied to a theft that unfolded at a local liquor store. But, it wasn't the liquor or wine that the subject was after. Evidently, the unknown culprit is accused of stealing $300 in change that other customers left behind.
According to authorities, a person of interest (photo above article) entered Georgetown Wine & Spirits at 1720 West Northfield Boulevard and allegedly stole a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital donation jar. The theft report was filed on June 15th. While police may have surveillance footage of a possible suspect, they don't have his name.
Now, detectives need help identifying the person of interest. If you recognize the man in the above photos, or if you know who stole a St. Jude's donation jar containing $300 off the counter of the Northfield Boulevard liquor store, you're encouraged to contact Detective Aaron Gonzalez at 629-201-5638.
