(MURFREESBORO)  Murfreesboro Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two persons of interest in a fraudulent check cashing case. 

Public Information Officer Larry Flowers said it happened on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 when an unidentified man and woman went into First Horizon Bank on West Northfield Boulevard. The two presented a stolen as well as altered check. 

The check presented by the female was not cashed and confirmed to be fraudulent.

However, the male cashed a fraudulent check for $3,490.92.
