Tuesday Fire at a Christiana Home is Under Investigation

Rutherford County, TN - A house fire in the Christiana area is under investigation. The fire occurred in a small neighborhood behind the C & E Market off Hwy 231 South on Tuesday (04/11/23).

Rutherford County Fire & Rescue responded to the blaze where they learned one resident exited the home and later re-entered. Upon re-entry, the subject became trapped inside and was rescued by a firefighter who risked his life to save the person. After the victim was out of the home, first responders quickly assessed the well-being of the individual. A short time later, the subject was transported by LifeFlight Helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

Fire Chief Larry Farley was command over the operation on Tuesday afternoon and reports indicate the Fire Marshal’s Office is now leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the house fire. At this time, the blaze is listed as “under investigation.”
