(MURFREESBORO) Have you ever thought “life is so fragile”? That idea showed itself again with the unexpected and sudden passing of Jon Eric Hall on Thursday evening (3/16/023). He was 53 and grew-up surrounded by cars, trucks and the automobile business. After all, he and his brothers Greg and Clint, were sons of the late Malcom Hall and his wife Donna, the owners of College Motors.

Jon’s love for cars and trucks, coupled with a desire to help others was seen in his connection with City Auto.

Malcom and Donna instilled strong values in their sons. A strong faith, being honest, support what you believe-in and dedication to making your community better.

Jon always had projects to do that would help others. He moved from one to the next. In fact, someone noted that Mark Twain’s phrase “Don’t wait, the time will never be just right” is a picture of Jon's life.

Family visitation is Sunday, March 19th from 3:00-7:00 PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel. An additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, TN. Services will be 11:00 o’clock Tuesday morning at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jennifer Lynelle Hall; four children, Anna Maria (21), Ainsley Mallory (17), Jon Eric II (16), and Addison Mackenzie (11) Hall; mother, Donah Graves Hall; brothers, Greg (Cindy) Hall and Clint (Loree) Hall; nephew, Ethan Hall and niece, Erin (Isaac) Britt; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm Elliott Hall, Jr.; grandparents, Malcolm Elliot Hall, Sr. and Mary Louise Hall of Bethpage, TN and Homer Rye Graves and Wardyne Graves of Gallatin, TN.

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bo Bowling, Jake Bowling, Andy Darden, Matt Darden, Wendell Franks, Charlie Hall, John Heath, JT Livesy, Tim Roediger, Rick Smotherman. Honorary Pallbearers are Kent Graves, David Graves, Ward Graves Jr., and Jeremy Graves.
