(MURFREESBORO) At 7:00 o'clock this coming Monday (1/9/2023) evening, the Rutherford County Historical Society has its first monthly meeting of the New Year in Maney Hall at Oaklands Mansion, 900 N. Maney Avenue. It's FREE and open to the public!
Elvis--TCB at RCHS
The King of Rock'n Roll is no stranger to the 'Boro. He is strongly tied to 50-years of fun at "The Glass House" (MTSU's Murphy Center).
Well, it's almost "Elvis the Pelvis" time, and Monday night's round features well-known E-impersonator Dick Peach. This Smyrna twister has been impersonating Elvis for quite some time, taking care of business at local events, and was very eager to share memories and fun with the Rutherford County Historical Society.
Dick brings Elvis facts that you may have never heard, so come prepared to Rock and Roll!
Historical Society member Shirley Farris Jones is a huge Elvis fan and was so excited to be the event's emcee. Shirley brings Elvis history, much tied to the 50-year golden anniversary of Murphy Center and Elvis in the Boro! Elvis fans will have a chance to look back and reminisce about seeing Elvis perform at Murphy Center or just buying his albums and playing his music!
