(Smyrna, TN) Preparations are underway for Smyrna's annual Christmas tradition! The 47th annual Town of Smyrna Christmas Parade and Food Drive will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 2pm. Spectators will gather along the parade route to watch floats, bands, classic cars, dancers, and Santa & Mrs. Claus, as they travel northbound on Lowry Street toward Sam Ridley Parkway.

In addition to enjoying the parade, Smyrna is inviting area residents to make a difference in our community by donating during the Christmas Parade Food Drive. Town personnel will collect non-perishable food items from spectators along the route and participants at check-in.

The Christmas Parade Food Drive is an important tradition in the Town of Smyrna. The town’s website states, “We believe in neighbor helping neighbor, and we believe that no family in our community should experience food insecurity.  Please help us shatter our previous record of 82,384 items collected to benefit Nourish Food Bank.” Again, town personnel will collect food along the parade route.

The deadline to enter the Smyrna Christmas Parade was on November 18th.

Parade related road closures are as follows:
8:00am - 3:00pm: Mayfield Drive will be closed from Lowry Street to Soccer Way
1:45pm: Lowry Street will closed from Mayfield Drive to Nolan Drive, north and south, until parade is over
1:45pm: Nolan Drive will be closed until all parade entries have cleared the area
1:45pm: Sam Ridley Parkway reduced to 1-lane from Nolan Drive to Lee Victory Recreation Park until all parade entries cleared
