LAVERGNE, Tenn. – Pvt. Kimberly Cruz graduated from the U.S Army’s Advanced Individual Training as a logistics specialist at Fort Lee, Virginia, July 23.
Cruz complete 12 weeks of training to qualify and learn maintenance managing, record keeping, stocking and storage, procedures of shipping and receiving, and other warehouse functions to ensure equipment records and parts.
“Pvt. Cruz’s spirit of service and willingness to help corresponds greatly to the servant attitude and mindset of being a citizen-Soldier,” said Sgt. 1st Class James Covey, Cruz’s recruiter.
Cruz is now assigned to Troop D, 1st Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, headquartered in Louisville.
“Joining the National Guard has taught me a lot about myself and has helped me to further recognize all that military service teaches,” said Cruz.
Cruz graduated from LaVergne High School in 2021.
