UPDATED (06/28/22): We have more news on a subject who was arrested for allegedly stalking a woman on the MTSU campus. The accused suspect, who is now a former employee of the university, is scheduled to appear in court for a “Criminal Hearing” on July 8, 2022.

Daniel Green worked in the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership and was the Director of Intercultural and Diversity Affairs. While still employed at the local university, a police report that included several supplemental reports, was filed with the MTSU Police Department.

WGNS obtained one of the supplemental reports that was filed on March 14, 2022. In the report we obtained, the reported victim told officers she was concerned after she, “saw what appeared to be two police officers” who reportedly visited her office to speak to her about a harassment report that was “officially not filed” with the Vanderbilt Police Department. The officers apparently made her feel so uncomfortable that she headed straight to the MTSU Police Department after the two left. In the MTSU Police Department lobby, the victim spoke to Officer Kerbo, who documented the reported visitors that appeared to be officers. MTSU Officer Hope Kerbo noted the synopsis of the report was “Stalking.”

Additional supplements to the report that WGNS was not given access to, focused on not only "Impersonation of a Police Officer," but also harassment, stalking, tampering with or fabricating evidence, theft over $1,000 and the "Electronic Tracking of Motor Vehicles."

On Monday (06/27/22), MTSU confirmed that 38-year-old Green is no longer an employee of the university, as of April 28, 2022. On Tuesday (06/28/22), WGNS was told by MTSU Terminal Agency Coordinator Benjamin Hunt, “Because this remains a pending criminal matter, further documents pertaining to the MTSU Police Department’s investigation are not available for release."

WGNS also learned on Tuesday that a second man has been named in one of the police reports as a possible suspect, however an arrest has not taken place at this point, and it is not known if that second person will face any charges.

In the Rutherford County Courts, a continuance has been granted on Green's case at least three times since April. Court records show he is now scheduled to appear before Judge Ben Hall McFarlin, III on July 8, 2022. The criminal hearing for the 38-year-old suspect is on the docket to begin at 8:30 AM on the 8th of July.
