MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A Rutherford County Grand Jury has indicted two men and a woman for murder and other fentanyl related charges surrounding the April 2021 death of a Murfreesboro man.

42-Year-old Walter “Tommy” Bowen of Smyrna, 29-year-old Travis Stanley of Murfreesboro, and 25-year-old Madison Davis, also from Murfreesboro, were served the indictments on November 24th.  When served, all three were already in custody at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.

The November grand jury indicted the trio on second-degree murder and 19 other charges relating to the fentanyl death investigation.

The investigation started after 28-year-old Eric Mosher was found dead. Murfreesboro Police Narcotics Unit detectives and Middle Tennessee Drug-Related Death Task Force investigators investigated the case.

Mosher was found unresponsive in his Greenland Dr. apartment on April 22nd.  There were drugs and a syringe near his body.  The medical examiner ruled the cause of death was intoxication by fentanyl.

The investigation is still active and ongoing.

In the meantime, Bowen is being held on a $248,000 bond.  A hearing is set December 14th in Rutherford County General Sessions Court for him.  Stanley is being held on a $101,000 bond and will appear in the Rutherford County Circuit Courtroom for his hearing on January 6, 2022. Davis is being held under a $105,000 bond. She too will be in Circuit Court on January 6th.
