Those who have had COVID-19, may want to do some research before getting the COVID Vaccine

Rutherford County has recorded 59,925 COVID-19 cases, since the start of the pandemic. Of that number, 57,799 cases are now inactive or recovered.

To get vaccinated or to not get vaccinated, that is the question being asked after a study released in Israel shows that those who have had COVID-19, don’t necessarily need to get the vaccination.

Dr. Dan Rudd told WGNS listeners that those who have already had COVID-19, may put themselves at a greater risk for complication if they get the vaccine, according to the study out of Israel...

A similar study conducted by the Cleveland Clinic concluded that those who previously had COVID-19, may not benefit from a vaccination.

As of September 27, 2021, more than 183-million people have been fully vaccinated in the United States.

Dr. Rudd said patients need to know their health background and their current health issues when deciding if they want to get a COVID vaccine. He said it is also important to stay up-to-date on current information when making a decision on a vaccine, which is why it is important to consult with your primary care doctor before getting the shot.
