Murfreesboro Police continue to investigate the July 15, 2016 murder of Fausto Hernandez. Evidently, Hernandez and his wife lived in Texas, but he was temporarily staying in Murfreesboro with extended family while working a construction job when killed.
Detective Sgt. James Abbott said that Hernandez was shot behind Marco's Pizza at 1208 East Northfield Boulevard... Hernandez died shortly after being transported to the hospital.
While the murder has been labeled a cold case, there is still hope for it being solved.
Detective Abbott said sometimes when a case goes unsolved for multiple years, those who know details about it will no longer fear talking to police because relationships may have been broken.
