The annual Doors of Hope Firefly Super was virtual this year, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. However, that does not stop what the local non-profit stands for and fights for. That fight is reducing the recidivism rate for women who are released from prison or jail. That fight is keeping those who are released clean and sober. That fight is piecing families back together.

Statistics show that 67% of those released without assistance will be re-incarcerated within 3 years. Those who have participated in the Doors of Hope re-entry program for more than 6 months are not a part of that statistic. In fact, those who are part of the local program are reincarcerated at a rate of just 3%, and no one who has stayed with the program for a year or more has ever reoffended.
Doors of Hope provides a safe place for women to live while working to become healthy mentally, physically and emotionally.
