The Murfreesboro City Council will meet in a regular workshop meeting on Wednesday just before the lunch hour (11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020).

One item up for discussion revolves around MTSU’s Aerospace program at the Murfreesboro Municipal Airport. This past September, the council approved a Transient Use Agreement with MTSU for 22,000 square feet of space in the new airport terminal. MTSU wants to install signage in the space they are using.

A 2.22% rate increase will hit retirees from the City of Murfreesboro, under their medical plan and prescription plan. The rate increase will be effective on January 1, 2021.

Murfreesboro council members will also look at budget changes, due to $1.48 million in salary increases.

The 11:30 meeting on Wednesday will be in the Murfreesboro Police Headquarters building on North Highland Avenue (Community Room, 1004 N. Highland Ave.).
