Smyrna man Murdered - Black Jeep Grand Cherokee Seen at Crime Scene

A Smyrna man was shot and killed in Nashville on Tuesday (9/8/20) and Metro Police are on the search for a black Jeep Grand Cherokee tied to the murder.

South Precinct detectives are working to develop information on the black Jeep Grand Cherokee from which the gunshot was fired that killed Smyrna resident Demarcus Thompson at 4 p.m. Tuesday in a parking lot at Nolensville Pike and Ocala Drive.

30-Year old Thompson and the driver of the Grand Cherokee both pulled their vehicles into the parking lot. Thompson got out and was shot in the head. The Grand Cherokee fled northbound on Nolensville Pike in Nashville.

The Grand Cherokee has a temp tag and damage to the driver’s side front.
