The Oakland Patriots keep the ball on the ground on a rainy Friday night opener to defeat Hendersonville 42-10.
Junior running back Antonio Patterson had a standout game. Early in the second quarter leading 6-0, wildcat quarterback Victor Stephenson found Patterson through the air:
Patterson did most of his damage on the ground, with 122-yards rushing on 12-carries and three touchdowns. This one with 1:14 left in the first half:
Victor Stephenson finished the night with 8 carries for 92-yards, one for a 42-yard touchdown. The Pats ground out 360-yards on the ground.
The Patriots were scheduled to play Kenwood next Friday, but due to COVID-19, that game won't be played. Next up will be a region battle with rival Siegel on the road September 4th.
