(ROCKVALE)  Here's one of those positive stories about a community's appreciate for police. This past Friday (7/17/2020) residents in the Rockvale Meadows community held a cookout for the 300 Rutherford County Sheriffs Office employees, medical staff, and judicial commissioners.

They purchased everything and then grilled and served meals for all three shifts.

Officials at 940 New Salem Highway appreciate Pepper Martin, who organized the event, grilled hamburgers and hot dogs most of the day in the sweltering 90-plus-degree heat.

Serving the meals in the heat were Cindy Hale, Tavia Bloom, Josie Bloom, Lori Garza, Amy Kendrick, Lacey Bolden, Max Bolden, Shannon Minner, Karen Potts, Pepper Martin, Ellen Martin and Amelia Martin.

Other residents donated time and food to the event. This is the second time the Rockvale Meadows residents provided a cookout to Sheriff’s Office employees.

The Sheriff’s Office, medical staff and judicial commissioners are extremely grateful for your contribution to us of time, donations, service and fellowship.
