With weekly worship services continuing to be held outside to allow for better social distancing, World Outreach Church has lined up performances by guest musical artists for their upcoming services, with Saturday evenings taking on a family-friendly festival type atmosphere with a free mini-concert by both artists following the service. In addition, a variety of food trucks will be onsite to contribute to an enjoyable evening out worshipping and spending time together.
This week’s guest artists include Chris McClarney and Big Daddy Weave. McClarney will lead worship for the Saturday evening service and Big Daddy Weave will lead Sunday morning worship, while both will perform mini-concerts following the Saturday evening service.
Below is an excerpt of Big Daddy Weave singing "My Story."
Chris McClarney began leading worship at age 14, first for small groups, then in larger churches and inner-city ministry across Nashville. His powerful worship anthem “Your Love Never Fails” has become one of the most popular songs in churches and a #1 song on the Billboard Christian chart.
Big Daddy Weave formed when the band members bet while attending the University of Mobile. They stepped into the spotlight in 2002 with the release of their second album “One and Only,” which debuted in SoundScan's Christian Top 5 and saw the group nominated as Dove Awards New Artist of the Year. Their song "Redeemed" is the most successful song of Big Daddy Weave's career, having spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Christian radio charts and certified gold by the RIAA. Members include: Mike Weaver, Jay Weaver, Jeremy Redmon, Joe Shirk and Brian Beihl.
